Lentils are one of the few
legumes not to presoak.
They cook in about 30 minutes without soaking.
Has
an assertive taste.
RECIPE
HONEY BAKED LENTILS:
1 lb cooked lentils*, drained
Reserved liquid from lentils
1 t dry mustard*
1/2 t ginger*
1/2 c honey*
1 c lentil liquid
1/2 c chopped onion
1 T soy sauce
Mix together all ingredients except honey.
Place in baking dish and
pour honey over top.
Cover and bake at 350ºF for 1 hour.
Uncover dish for
last few minutes to brown top.
